Briyanni Kathrikka | Kathrikka sidedish

Hello friends,
Today we are going to make the famous briyani kathrikka sidedish.
Ingredients:
Kathrikka 4-5
Onion 1
Tomato 1
Tamarind extract
peanuts
sesame seeds
Mustard
Urid
Cumin
curry leaves
Turmeric
Chilly powder
Coriander powder
salt
oil

Start of by dry roasting the peanuts and sesame seeds.
Allow them to cool off and grind them into a fine powder.
To a pan add oil and saute the brinjal till they are soft. transfer them to a plate.
To the same pan add some more oil. once the oil is hot add mustard, urid, cumin seeds and curry leaves.
Add 1 Chopped onion and saute till it becomes transparent.
Add 1 finely chopped tomato and saute well.
Add the masalas and saute well till the oil oozes out.
Add the tamarind  extract and let it simmer.
Add the sauted brinjal to the mixture and let it simmer for 5-7 mins in medium flame.
Finally add the ground peanut powder mix to the masala and cook in medium flame for 2 mins.
